Clara Grabowiecki

Argentina

Clara Grabowiecki is an Argentine visual artist born in Buenos Aires in 1983. She studied in the studio of the prestigious Argentine visual artist Carlos Gorriarena, with whom she deepened her interest in artistic research into color. Her influence is reflected in a radical vision of art that includes a particular rigor and commitment in the way she approaches her work. In 2008, she was selected as artist-in-residence at the renowned Takt Berlin Artist Residency, an experience that broadened her creative horizons and fundamentally changed her artistic outlook. In 2016, driven by her curiosity, Clara moved to Europe, where she had the opportunity to immerse herself in the local art scene and make meaningful connections with other contemporary artists. There, she completed a Master’s degree in Art and Design at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Throughout her career, she has exhibited her art pieces between Buenos Aires, Berlin, Beijing, Barcelona, Miami and London, in renowned spaces such as the San Martín Cultural Center, the Recoleta Cultural Center, Appetite Contemporary Art, ArteBA, Jardín Oculto, Wir Gallery, Big Sur, Fábrica Escocesa, La Virreina Centro de la Imagen, among others. Her work has been an integral part of notable festivals and exhibitions, such as LOOP, Visual Brasil and the Teorema Festival. His work has been featured in influential publications such as Diario Clarín, Revista Ramona, Arte al Día, Revista Ulisses and Wicked Mag.

Clara Grabowiecki’s art pieces are a journey into an inner cosmos. Moving from the figurative to the abstract, the images construct cosmologies of the imagination. The human and non-human worlds interact in inter-species entanglements that stretch from dogs to botanical elements and spiral up to atomic levels. A mesh of reality and understanding is woven through physical and dream worlds that tell the story of our infinitely complex interconnectedness. The surface of the painting is the arena in which Grabowiecki uses color and form to align vibratory tendencies. The images are recognizable by their color palette, which does not shy away from tropical tones and metallic reflections that hark back to the collective unconscious of the cultural psyche. The image contains both science fiction and ancient narratives in a timeless suspension. The space of the mind is represented as a crystallized gesture towards truth and purity. Crystal symbolizes the purity of the soul as matter compresses into transparency.

Buenos Aires / Argentina

Francisco Diaz Scotto aka Pastel Fd is an Argentinian painter and architect who uses public spaces as his canvas. He focuses on the “non-places” often ignored in urban design.

He creates a dialogue between his murals and the environment, using the flora that grows in the cracks of sidewalks and facades as a reference. By magnifying these small plants, he questions our society’s need for a rational, autarkic use of space.

In his personal work, he explores themes of twilight, home, jungle and dogs, drawing on his missionary roots and emotional memory.
