Angelo Repetto

Zürich / Switzerland

Angelo Repetto (40) is a musical artist who lives and works in Zurich.

Angelo Repetto’s music can increasingly be deciphered as a psychedelic spectrum of laid-back pop, herbaceous synthesizer music and poetic musical universes. Since 2005, when he played with his first band Telaphones, he has become an active and essential part of the Swiss music scene. In doing so, he is constantly evolving, for the journey is profound and there is no goal; rather, for him it is a process of self-knowledge and exploration of musical diversity.

He is part of various projects such as Wolfman, which Repetto has been pursuing with Katerina Stoykova since 2013, or the Angelo Repetto Trio with Markus Kenel and Nicolas Stocker, whose album Sundown Explosion, released on Subject to Restriction Discs, is the basis. With his father Marco Repetto, he regularly plays live on special occasions, and with Chahida Rezgueni, he emerges into poetic worlds under the name rezguenirepetto. With his latest project Konstant! he explores dark, driven post-punk worlds with Nicolas Balmer.

He is currently working on a solo album in Swiss German under the pseudonym ANGI. An intimate weaving of knowledge acquired over the last 25 years of musical and life experience.

What all these projects have in common is Angelo Repetto’s unique musical aesthetic, with its ever-present gentle energy.

Or in his words:

“The sound you have in your head and the sound that comes out of your heart are often two different things. Bringing this dissonance down to a line is the greatest challenge. To produce music that is in harmony with itself is, for me, the definition of good music. And it’s not the quality that counts, but the vibe.

Bordeaux / France

Ardpg was born in Périgueux in 1980. He has been exhibiting his work since 2003 in France and abroad. He currently lives and works in Bordeaux.

The artist began painting via graffiti in the 1990s. In the early 2000s, when graffiti had not yet become a trend in the art world, the artist began working on canvas. Ardpg seeks to color our daily lives and awaken our appreciation of urban art as an integral part of our environment. He is not attached to the term “street art”, which for him is too simplistic. He prefers to be called the creator of our everyday urban life.

The contrasts used in the versus series allow the eye to lose itself in the work as a whole between past and present, then choose its landscape, past or present, to discover a new work. His love of words and art history are the two axes he develops in his work with galleries and institutions.

At a time when everything is just images thrown at us at breakneck speed, ARDPG wants viewers to stop and take the time to decipher the work. The more time he spends, the more the reading expands and takes on volume.

Pierre Busata, aka Yakès, was born in Paris in 1991 and developed his art through the graffiti movement. He also trained in graphic design at EPSAA and taught himself tattooing and beat-making. Over the past ten years, Yakès has developed a rich, organic universe, blending architecture and vegetation.

He draws inspiration from nature and the urban environment to create microcosms on buildings, taking into account their geographical location. His aim is to enhance buildings with his works and invite the public to immerse themselves in the landscapes he creates. Yakès researches the environment of each fresco and proposes a vision of the world through his interpretations of urban landscapes. In dialogue with the history of the site, Yakès creates dreamlike works that invite the public to travel for a moment.

Philippe Baudelocque, born in 1974 in Yerres (France), is an artist who emerged from the graffiti scene in the 80s.

A 2002 graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, he creates XXL murals in public spaces around the world. His graphic universe is inspired by the primitive arts and scientific imagery. Using chalk as his medium, he improvises his motifs freehand.

He combines technical sophistication with the crumbly nature of chalk to create animal, landscape, abstract or symbolic representations, often involving doubling and multiplying. He is also interested in quantum physics, mathematics, rhythms and the laws of nature.

His work has been exhibited in renowned museums such as the Centre Pompidou, Palais de Tokyo and MACRO in Rome, and he has collaborated with famous houses such as Diptyque, Hermès and Pierre Hermé.

France

Julien Nonnon is a French artist who uses the urban landscape as a medium for his creations. Since 2008, he has been practicing video-mapping, projecting his half-human, half-animal characters onto walls using a video projector and a graphics tablet. He collaborates on numerous artistic projects combining kinetic installations and digital creations, with the street as a central source of inspiration.

Julien Nonnon works on exhibitions in galleries and museums, as well as with city cultural departments, festivals and events such as the Nuit des Musées, the Nuit Blanche and the Journées du Patrimoine. He is also commissioned by major brands and advertisers to create customized content for communication projects. Offering different types of Street-Art itineraries, from ephemeral performances to long-term light installations, as well as interactive and participative projects, Julien Nonnon and his team create turnkey events.

As co-founder of the creative studio Le3, based in Paris and Geneva, he works at the intersection of art, design, performance and image. His agency produces unique visual experiences and creates stories through innovative concepts and unique digital experiences.

Lyon / France

Bandi is a French artist born in 1980 in the Geneva border region. From an early age, he showed a talent for drawing and a keen interest in the history and practice of the visual arts. In the mid-90s, he began experimenting with graffiti.

In Paris, where he settled, he used various tags to mark his productions before finally choosing the name Bandi. He began a new series of art pieces inspired by urban and railway architecture, as well as abstract painting. Traveling frequently between Marseille, Geneva and Barcelona, he developed a prolific talent for transforming colors, shapes and ideas into monumental art pieces.

Since 2012, Bandi has taken part in numerous exhibitions and festivals around the world, notably creating 3-dimensional graffiti installations that open up a new avenue in his work.
