Porto / Portugal

Francisco Bravo, also known as Virus, is a renowned Portuguese urban artist from Porto. His unique style combines urban textures with contemporary graphic elements, pushing back the boundaries of traditional graffiti.

Initially known for his elaborate lettering, Virus began exploring more detailed paintings on “hall of fame” walls. In 2017, he realized the need to evolve graffiti and his style, incorporating inspirations of the day such as advertisements, architecture and new poster designs. Virus now bridges the gap between graffiti and street art, blending expressive and graphic painting, vandalism and art.

Add Fuel

Lisbon / Portgual

ADD FUEL is the artist name of Diogo Machado, a Portuguese visual artist born in 1980. After graduating in graphic design from IADE in Lisbon, he worked for several years in design studios in Portugal, before spending eight months in Munich, Germany. Since 2007, he has devoted himself exclusively to his artistic work. Under the name Add Fuel to the Fire, he has created a dark and exuberant visual universe, populated by eccentric and joyful creatures, influenced by diverse interests such as video games, comics, animation, science fiction and urban visual culture.

Fascinated by symmetrical patterns and paving, he has redirected his art towards reinterpreting the traditional design of Portuguese tin-glazed tiles, known as azulejos, combining traditional decorative elements with contemporary visual references in new forms that prove impressively complex.

His multi-patterned compositions produce a poetic rhythm that plays with the viewer’s perception and the many possibilities for interpretation. In addition to his public art interventions in various countries, he has also presented his work in solo and group exhibitions in renowned galleries and museums. Diogo Machado lives and works in Cascais, Portugal.
