Her style combines humor, discreet criticism and a sensual touch, while leaving room for interpretation through a reduced color palette and suggested details. Since 2013, she has been publishing a small painting online every week, earning her the attention of New York’s Agora Gallery, among others.

At the age of 40, after years as a schoolteacher, mother and self-taught painter, she completed a 3.5-year course at the Bern School of Art and Design. She combines photography and painting, believing that the two media complement each other. Organized and inquisitive, she takes part in collective and cross-disciplinary projects, such as the exhibition at Leukerbad Castle and the publication of the illustrated book “Witwensommer”.

> facebook

> website

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Introducing Helga Zumstein – a 58-year-old self-taught painter from Brig (Valais), who accurately captures everyday life and transforms ordinary scenes into subtle, emotional art pieces.

[279,293,301
282,371,570,283,295
post-13374","project","type-project","status-publish","hentry","project_category-artist","project_category-open-air-museum-en","project_category-switzerland","project_tag-artist-en","project_tag-graffiti-en","project_tag-helga-en","project_tag-official","project_tag-open-air-museum-en
["GET
