Christoph Heinen is a Swiss graphic designer and multimedia artist born in 1970 in Naters. He trained as a graphic designer with Mengis Druck + Verlag in Visp, and since 1992 has run his own studio, CH.H.GRAFIK Gestaltungswerkstatt, in Naters.<\/p>\n
He is a self-taught artist with a particular interest in typography, history, travel, nature, movement and the avant-garde. His work is inspired by the archaic “H\u00fcszeiche” (family symbols) of the ancient Valais and traditional “Friesen” (wall decoration on half-timbered houses, XV-XIXth century), creating art pieces and graphic compositions, resurrecting a world of vanished signs. He uses a variety of media, including woodcut, digital work, photography and video. <\/p>\n
In addition to his solo exhibitions, he has taken part in group shows. His work has been exhibited in Switzerland and abroad. Thanks to his talents as a designer and organizer of cultural projects, he has succeeded in creating many memorable and inspiring events. <\/p>\n
