Monthey / Switzerland
Hugo Pratap Parvex, a young Swiss graphic designer, grew up in Colombey and Monthey, and was drawn to the visual and artistic side of things from an early age. Initially passionate about street dance, he then turned to contemporary dance and went on to study Graphic Design in Lausanne and then Sierre, where he obtained his Maturité Professionnelle Artistique. In 2020, he set up his own graphic design studio, Spicygraphie, as a tribute to his nickname “Spicy” and to combine his art and his lifestyle inspired by the street and his personal experiences.
Hugo draws his many and varied inspirations from his visual sensibilities, which range from graphic design to photography, illustration, painting, video, dance and even textiles with his collaboration for the “kheyes unhuitsept” brand. His art is above all abstract and graphic, materializing his creations through unique shapes and colors. He describes his creations as “spicy”, as he adds his own artistic touch to give his pieces added flavor.
Hugo works in all kinds of materials, including wood, glass and metal, and has already collaborated with numerous brands to transpose his art and sublimate their products.
His unique style, both sweet and spicy, is instantly recognizable. His ultimate goal is to create a harmonious confusion, just as a chili pepper would, and to give taste to the eyes through his art pieces. Hugo Pratap Parvex is a passionate and talented artist who continues to thrive in his craft, constantly pushing his limits.
