The art piece
The Crans-Montana fire station is certainly the first to be equipped with a fire extinguisher as large as its building.
As playful as it is utlra-realistic, the art piece, painted entirely with Spray, reveals the essence of the site and proudly erects the essential values of firefighters. The inclusion of the number “118” on the mural is not insignificant; it serves to instill in the public mind the emergency number for contacting the fire service in case of need. The monumental size of the object reminds the viewer of the importance of danger, but also of the crucial importance of help.
This Jasm One project explores the theme of water as a protector and benefactor. Although water can be a source of danger and contribute to natural disasters – floods, landslides or avalanches, especially in the canton of Valais – it is also essential to the preservation of life. In this way, the art piece symbolizes the duality of water and its role in safety and survival.
A project carried out in collaboration with the Vision Art Festival.
